What I Grow

Who Am I?

I am Ellen. A strong, confident, and intelligent young woman; at least that’s how my mother would introduce me. Perfect, except perhaps a little too much like her old man; which is how my father might describe me. What I know for certain is that I have always belonged to myself, and the truth is am constantly learning how to introduce myself;

I was raised between the art-lined streets of Minneapolis and the peaceful woods of central Minnesota. Nature taught me how to listen; the city taught me how to speak. Travel has widened my terrain, teaching me how small I am and how expansive I can become. So here I am in Mexico City, doing exactly that.

I have always been hungry. Deeply curious; a wanter, a creator, a connector. Drawn toward beauty, especially in the ugly; toward understanding, especially in the nonsensical; toward more, especially when I cannot yet see it. My life is an ecosystem of contradictions — or more pleasantly put, dualities — grounded yet restless, soft yet unwavering, observant yet unafraid to take up space.

I create to make sense of that landscape. The outer world that shapes me and the inner one I am building. I create not to be understood, but to understand. Always.

What do I do?

My work lives at the intersection of strategy, storytelling, and feeling. With a background rooted in science and communication, I’m naturally drawn to understanding systems — both in nature and in people — and the ways connection shapes how we experience the world around us. That perspective carries into everything I create: thoughtful brands, sensory experiences, and narratives that feel human, intentional, and alive.

As a creative, I’m interested in the balance between intuition and clarity; beauty and function; emotion and structure. Whether I’m developing a brand identity, shaping creative direction, or building ideas from the ground up, my work is grounded in curiosity, observation, and meaningful connection. I’m less interested in creating noise, and more interested in creating resonance. Work that lingers, feels honest, and leaves people with something real.
